What will fats lead to?

Though fats is a good source of nutrient the can provide energy, but it will cause diet related disease.

Obesity:It is the condition in which a person is overweight.A person is considered obese when fat constitutes about one-third or more of his body weight.Over-eating and lack of exercise are the most common of obesity. However, obesity is not just a cosmetic problem. It can also increase the risk of developing diseases such as coronary heart disease, hypertension and diabetes mellitus. For example, foods such as ice cream, that are high in carbohydrates and fats, contribute to the development of obesity.

  • High blood cholesterol:Too much cholesterol in the blood, or high blood cholesterol, can be serious.People with high blood cholesterol have a greater chance of getting heart disease.High blood cholestrol on its own does not cause symptoms,so many people are unaware that their cholesterol's level is too high.Due to high level of low-density lipoprotein, can lead to fatty deposits on the inner walls of the arteries. And over time,it can cause narrowing of the arteries.
  • Almost having the same meaning as the health problem mentioned in second point, there were 2.First is coronary heart disease and second is hypertension.
  • Hypertension:Due to the excessive intake of calories, fat and cholesterol.Excessive intake of salt also cause body tissues to retain water, increasing blood pressure. Therefore,it causes the heart to work harder. If this condition is unchecked and allowed to continue, the heart and artery walls may become damaged.
  • Diabetes mellitus:It is a condition where the level of glucose in the blood cannot be properly regulated.People with diabetes mellitus cannot produce enough,or unable to respond to,insulin.Isulin is a hormone which is stimulates the body to make use of glucose for energy. Thus,a lack of insulin results in a high level of glucose in the blood. Some of the excess glucose is excreted in the urine. However, high blood glucose can cause damage to the nervous system, eyes, kidneys, heart and feet.
